#BadAss Lady: Kelsey Fox Bennett Boyd
When we first met Kelsey Fox Bennett Boyd, we knew there was something special about her. The way that she speaks, it calms your whole being. This is not an exaggeration. Kelsey has a way of making you feel like an old friend from the moment you enter into conversation with her. She genuinely cares about people. She cares about helping and being kind. This translates so beautifully into the business that she's built, a therapy focused on healing, and it works! We chatted with Kelsey about her and her business and we truly just want you to know her! Check out our little interview then do you yourselves a favor and visit her site to learn even more!
Your Ultimate Goal in Life
There are two things that came to mind when I read this question and I feel they go hand-in-hand. First, is the personal goal to be fully and completely myself. To not hide or dim my light, but to own my inner strength and share it with big love. Second, is the childhood vision I had of helping to heal the world. Little girl Kelsey wants to make a positive difference, wants to help people come home to themselves and heal from traumas both big and small. I believe by continually doing this myself - welcoming more and more of me home and standing in my power and in my unique light - I expand my ability to help others do the same.
What led you down the path of starting your business?
As mentioned above, I knew from a young age that I wanted to help others heal. The actualization of that into a business has been a beautiful ongoing journey of experimenting with content, honing my message and expanding my toolbox. It was about 3 years ago when I created my Abundant Living online course and said, “THIS. This is something I could teach again and again and never tire of it.” The course meets you where you are and helps you evolve and grow from that space so every year I teach it, I go deeper, and every time my participants return for another round, they deepen their healing and expand their abundance, too. The seed for me was planted very early and yet there was much meandering to do (and healing, too) before I felt like I’d landed fully in myself and what I wanted to share in the world. And: I know it will continue to evolve as I will continue to grow and change. Such is the adventure of life!
Is there a #Badasslady that you look up to that has inspired you in what you are doing?
Oh goodness. There are so many Badass Ladies in my life. I was blessed to have exquisitely talented healers from the moment I arrived on the planet. Colleen Gardner showed me the benefits of Brain GymⓇ, which has become an integral part of my work. Thanks to my mother, the work of Louise Hay was part of my daily life for as long as I can remember and Louise Hay was a window into the world of Hay House authors - I was introduced to so many life changing teachers through that world. Now, today, I look around at my friends and colleagues and constantly think: Wow, you are incredible and you are incredible and you are incredible. They all inspire me to keep going and keep showing up, even when I feel scared or overwhelmed. I am so thankful for Badass Sisterhood!!
What makes you a #Badass? Give us some of the things you love about yourself!
I am a Badass because I am a highly sensitive soul who has transformed multiple traumatic life events into fuel for an incredibly abundant life filled with authentic love, adventure, family, sisterhood and so much more. I have an innate ability to see people and help them feel safe and loved. I carry an extraordinary box of healing tools and am a lifelong learner. I’m not afraid of my emotions. I can go deep and come out the other side because I’ve done it time and time again. I exude JOY - pure delight in the littlest of things - and help others remember their joy as a result.
